Transmission and Distribution

EES offers products in the field of switchgear monitoring and fault annunciating ranging from simple devices with predefined settings up to a networkable systems with IEC 61850 and IEC 60870-5-104 multilink structures. Setting into operation and adjusting to parameters on site, DIP switches and easy of use browser based software are provided. Hereby standardized reporting procedures acc. to DIN 19235 or ISA, as well as individual sequences can be realized. Drop flap functionality suits the demand for displaying last states of a facility. Supervision relays monitor voltagelevels, as well as phase failures in networks. Moreover EES multiplexer systems convince by universal applicability, simple handling and low installation costs. The systems are compact and have high interference resistance for transmission of digital and analog I/O’s up to 20 Kilometers over arbitrary control lines or wireless. For reliable transmission and evaluation of the data telegrams secured protocols are used.

ZS8A

The small transceiver and receiver unit ZS8A stands for its reliability and rigidity against interferences and is commonly used for carrying field signals over a long distance control cable to superior RTUs. Moreover these devices find their home in control of cradles in building maintenance applications.
Easy setting up with DIP-switches and small housing makes it easy to integrate in existing cabinets. For higher demands EES provides the appropriate systems, too.

Unidirectional 2-wire multiplexer ZS8A

LAB

The indication modules are the simplest form of fault annunciating technology. EES launched a new generation of the proven LAB series in 2023, where LAB is short for LED display module. The new generation turns the previously available variants upside down and concentrates them in one display module. Thereby the number of different sizes increases, which are now not only available in 8, 16 channels, but also in 24, 32, 40 and 48 signal inputs. There's only one variant per number of signal inputs, which greatly simplifies or optimizes the ordering process, stock-keeping and usability.

Indication Modules LAB

FSM

The compact drop-flap annunciator FSM 10 is designed in a housing for front panel mounting. It features 10 green drop-flaps with a LED each for display of the signals at issue. Independent from lighting situation, thus the alarms can be recognised in an optimal way at any time. During a power-fail, the last state of the display is permanently retained by the drop-flaps. Of course, all functions of the annunciator can be adapted to the respective application by means of DIP-switches and/or software.

USM/BSM

The fault annunciator gateway family for switchgear panels. The functionality and the modular design of the devices with up to 192 inputs and corresponding output relays offer flexibility through individual processing for single signals and also for alarm- and operation states. Collective reports and repeat relays provide flexibility in alarm notification. Very bright two colour LEDs provide a very large reading angle. Parameterisation can be changed by buttons or via webinterface. The USM provides a gateway to acquire signals and convert them digitally to IEC 61850. Not only digital signals can be processed but also analog or temperature values can be monitored next to other values which can be read out via the new Modbus master integrated in the USM and transferred on the substation bus by IEC 61850.

Networkable Fault Annunciator USM

WAP

The WAP is the most advanced windows annunciator panel ever designed. In contrast to the mechanical adaption of windows sizes, this device delivers the easy setting up of windows by drag and drop via browser. Each window can be fully adapted in terms of width and height and colour. Repeat relays for each input, 3 common alarms and redundant power supply are available. For connection to IEC 61850, Ethernet or optical fibre sockets are provided and several devices can be connected via CAN-Bus.
