FriCon Gas Dehumidifier
The FriCon system cools and dehumidifies process gases for use in combined heat and power plants or biogas treatment plants, optimizing combustion and enhancing operational reliability while reducing plant downtime. By cooling the gas, moisture condenses and can be removed as condensate. Equipped with an optional demister, the system can eliminate up to 99% of condensate droplets. APROVIS manufactures FriCon systems to be durable, technically sealed, and efficient for gas treatment, requiring only a gas line and an electricity connection.
Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) Converters
The SCR converters reduce nitrogen oxides (NOx) in exhaust gases using a reducing agent. Completed with APROVIS Control System ensures controlled and coordinated dosing of the reducing agent and optimum mixing with the exhaust gas. Further reduction of carbon monoxide and formaldehyde emissions can be achieved by oxidation catalytic converters, which ideally be integrated in the reactor housing alongside the SCR catalytic converters.

Oxidation Catalytic Converter
Oxidation catalytic converters (oxi-cats) reduce the amount of carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and formaldehyde in the combustion exhaust gases. They use oxidation to convert gaseous pollutants into harmless substances (carbon dioxide (CO₂) and water (H₂O)). The resistance to sulphur is geared to the relevant operating conditions. In stoichiometric operation (lambda=1), a three-way catalytic converter can reduce carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides (NOₓ) in the exhaust gas.
